Aspiring candidates for JEE(Advanced) 2023 who are OCI/PIO and Foreign Nationals need to carefully read and follow the instructions for online registration to avoid any mistakes or discrepancies. Requests for changes in the registration form will not be entertained, so candidates need to fill the form correctly in the first attempt. This article provides important instructions for such candidates, including registration fee, registration procedure, password policy, and resetting the password.
Candidates who have secured an OCI/PIO card before 4th March 2021 and are female or from GEN or GEN-PwD category need to pay USD 18 (INR 1450) as the registration fee. The registration fee for other candidates from the open category is USD 36 (INR 2900). Foreign nationals, including OCI/PIO cardholders who secured it after 4th March 2021, need to pay USD 90 (INR 7500) if residing in SAARC countries (including India) or USD 180 (INR 15000) if residing in non-SAARC countries.
The registration procedure for OCI/PIO and Foreign Nationals candidates involves three simple steps. The first step is to fill the online registration form and note down the login ID and password for subsequent login. The second step is to upload scanned certificates such as photograph, signature, photo identity proof, OCI/PIO card or foreign passport or citizenship certificate (for those who are OCI/PIO cardholders or whose nationality is foreign), birth certificate for age proof, and other optional certificates such as Class XII mark sheet, PwD certificate, scribe request letter, compensatory time request letter, and testimonial (if required). The third step is to pay the registration fee using any of the available payment gateways such as debit card, credit card, internet banking, or UPI. After successful payment, the candidate can print the registration details with a unique registration number.
Candidates should not disclose or share their password with anybody to prevent misuse. They can change their password after login if desired. The password should be 8 to 13 characters long and include one upper case alphabet, one lower case alphabet, one numeric value, and one special character. Candidates should remember to logout at the end of their session to prevent unauthorized access.
Candidates can reset their password using a verification code sent via text message (SMS) to their registered mobile number or using a reset link sent via email to their registered email address.
