To be eligible for the B.Tech program at MSRIT, candidates must have:
Completed the 10+2 (or equivalent) examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
Studied one of the following as an optional subject: Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Computer Science, or Electronics.
Achieved a minimum aggregate of 45% in the qualifying examination. For candidates belonging to SC/ST, Category-1, and OBC categories from Karnataka, the minimum aggregate required is 40%.
Candidates applying under the NRI (Non-Resident Indian), PIO (Persons of Indian Origin), or FN (Foreign National) categories must have:
Completed the 10+2 (or equivalent) examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
Studied one of the following as an optional subject: Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Computer Science, or Electronics.
Achieved a minimum of 50% marks in the optional subjects.
Admission to the B.Tech program at MSRIT is primarily based on entrance examinations. The selection process varies depending on the category under which the candidate is applying:
Eligibility: Candidates who are residents of Karnataka.
Process:
Register for the KCET examination through the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA).
Appear for the KCET exam and obtain a valid score.
Participate in the KCET counseling process, where seat allotment is based on the KCET rank, preferences, and availability.
Upon seat allotment, complete document verification and pay the requisite fees to confirm admission.
Eligibility: Candidates from all over India.
Process:
Register for the COMEDK UGET examination.
Appear for the COMEDK UGET exam and obtain a valid score.
Participate in the COMEDK counseling process, where seat allotment is based on the COMEDK rank, preferences, and availability.
Upon seat allotment, complete document verification and pay the requisite fees to confirm admission.
Eligibility: Candidates who meet the basic eligibility criteria mentioned above.
Process:
Apply directly to MSRIT under the Management Quota.
Selection is based on merit, considering Class 12 marks and/or entrance exam scores (KCET/COMEDK/JEE Main).
Upon selection, complete document verification and pay the requisite fees to confirm admission.
Candidates must have the following documents ready for the admission process:
10th and 12th Marksheets
Transfer Certificate (TC)
Entrance Exam Scorecard (KCET/COMEDK/JEE Main, as applicable)
Caste Certificate (if applicable)
Migration Certificate (for students from boards other than Karnataka PUC)
Aadhar Card or any government-issued ID
